First stop was Sydney (during which time I briefly flew up to
Mornington Island in the Gulf of Carpentaria to inspect another job prospect),
followed by work in Australia's biggest mine at
Mt Isa, then a stint with a car dealer in
Mackay, a firm of chartered
accountants and HARTLEY COMPUTERS in
Brisbane. MORGAN EQUIPMENT called me back up to
Bougainville Island at Christmas 1980, and 1981
saw me with Ranger Uranium in Sydney, followed by FLUOR in
Melbourne, and JENNINGS INDUSTRIES in
Townsville where we ulimately decided to settle - for the time being.
